Changing the World - One Person at a Time

Home

TLC is an acronym for, Through the Love of Christ.  At Transitions, TLC, we recognize that the changes we have seen in our residents go far beyond our skills and talents.  We attribute our success to the miracle-working power of God as he foundationally changes men and women, restores families, and rebuilds society.

Transitions, TLC, performs social research, contracts with corrections agencies for transition and rehabilitation services, trains corrections professionals and churches in rehabilitation; and plants Transition Centers.  Transitions, TLC coordinates with Colleges and Universities to train future professionals in mentoring skills specific to resident’s children, spouses, and the family unit.

Each Transition Center is a locally owned and operated home for those leaving prison where they can re-establish employment, housing, counseling, transportation, personal documentation, and family relationship prior to being released to a free society.  Programming is coordinated with local agencies in order to limit service overlap.

The mix and levels of these life necessities are established by each resident as their own personal goals, thus providing a key element of successful rehabilitation – personal commitment.

Many of those who return to prison fail by being unable to provide these basic life necessities for themselves or their families in time to meet their needs, leading to desperation and eventual failure.
